“Map” of foreign trade: Imports on the rise, Russian presence increasing
Institute of Statistics has published the foreign trade data for January 2017. Referring to the report, the countries with which Albania has had the biggest increase in exports, compared with January 2016 are: Italy (13%), Kosovo (31.5%) and Spain (224.9%).
While exports to countries that have had the greatest reduction are: Hungary (-30.2%), the Netherlands (-1.3%) and Austria (-4.6%).
In January 2017, the countries with which Albania has had the biggest growth of imports, compared to January 2016, are: Germany (11.7%), the United States (27.2%) and Russia (5.2%).
While countries that have had the biggest reduction of imports are: Italy (-10.0%), China (-1.8%) and Turkey (-3.6%).
But what is the value in ALL of domestic trade exchanges and what happened compared to the same period of a year ago?
China
During January 2016, exports to China were worth 363 million ALL while in January 2017 the value amounts to 601 million ALL.
Imports during January 2016 were about 3.4 billion ALL, while in January 2017, 3.36 billion ALL.
Russia
According to INSTAT, during the month of January 2016, exports to Russia were worth 0 ALL. In January 2017 the export value is still 0 ALL.
Imports in January 2016 were 703 million while in January 2017 the value reached 740 million ALL.
US
During the month of January 2016, exports to US were worth 97 million ALL while in January 2017, the value amounts to 149 million ALL.
Imports in January 2016 were about 662 million ALL, while in January 2017 the value reached 842 million.
Turkey
During January 2016, exports to Turkey were worth 99 million while in January 2017 the value amounts to 107 million.
Imports in January 2016 were 2.8 billion ALL, while in January 2017 the value reached 2.7 billion ALL.
Italy
During the month of January 2016, exports to Italy were worth 10.3 billion ALL, while in January 2017 the value amounts to 11.7 billion ALL.
Imports in January 2016 were about 11.3 billion as at January 2017, the value reached the level of 10.1 billion.
Greece
During the month of January 2016 exports to Greece were worth 675 million ALL, while in January 2017, the value amounts to 735 million ALL.
Imports in January 2016 were 2.6 billion, while in January 2017, the value was still at the same level of about 2.6 billion ALL.
