Italia is one of the countries most affected by the pandemic, and this has affected, among other things, trade exchanges.
Referring to INSTAT foreign trade data, Italy is the main trading partner and at the same time is the country with which Albania has the largest decline in trade exchanges. Although the situation tends to stabilize, exports and imports between the two countries have a large gap compared to a year ago.
In the period January-June, Albania exported to Italy goods worth ALL 57 billion, recognizing a decrease of 18.7 billion ALL compared to the first 6 months of last year.
Imports have had the same trend. In January-June 2020, Albania imported from Italy 65 billion and 997 million ALL goods. Compared to the first 6 months of last year, this 6-month decrease in imports is by -16.5 billion ALL.
