The state budget has 223 million euros less / COVID-19 hits hard the revenues, including the local government

In the first 5 months of the year, the state budget has collected 160.7 billion ALL. The revenues have a drastic decrease compared to the same period of 2019, with about 27.7 billion ALL or 222.6 million euros. Also, in relation to the plan for the period, the budget lacks about 12 billion ALL or 96.4 million euros. It seems that the consequences of the measures taken against COVID-19 have continued to spread in May.

Revenues from taxes and customs are the most problematic, as they turn out to have collected 103.3 billion ALL or 21.4 billion less than a year ago.

With a decrease of 4.4 billion ALL, the revenues from the local government are also hit, in relation to 2019, where a total of about 7 billion ALL. 38.4 percent less have been collected.
