Unemployed craftsmen constitute 10% of jobseekers
There are currently 83.5 thousand unemployed jobseekers registered at the employment offices, while the government blames the lack of professional jobseekers for this high unemployment rate,.
But with regard to the unemployment structure, referring to the figures of the National Employment Service for 2017, 10 per cent of the total registered unemployed is occupied by individuals who have completed vocational high school, ie about 8350 individuals.
This is a relatively high percentage, given that the government is orienting young people towards this education, stressing that companies require mostly craftsmen.
While those who have completed university education occupy 5.8 percent of the total unemployment, this is because they do not register at the office, since they do not beleive that they are going to find a good job position.
The data of the National Employment Service show that the lowest registered unemployment figure covers people with lower than primary and primary education, ie 2.9 percent and 4.6 percent, because this category of unemployed does not register in the employment offices as a result of lack of information.
While the highest unemployment rate is reported among people with 9 years of education, 49.4 percent, followed by persons with general secondary education at 27.2 percent.
