Albania offers 100,000 euro to Grece following devastating fire
The Albanian government has offered an assistance of 100,000 USD to Greece, following the devastating fires near Athens.
The fund comes from Albania’s emergency fund, and it has been approved by the Prime Minister, the Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs, and the Ministry of Finances.
PM Edi Rama wrote on Facebook that Albania feels especially saddened for the tragic events in Greece and for the loss of lives.
“The government approved a donation in sing of solidarity for our brothers and sisters”, Rama wrote.
The Albanian Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs extended his condolences to Greece and said that his Ministry is in constant contacts with the Greek Embassy to check whether Albanian community members might be affected by the tragedy.
