Foreign trade expands in 10 months as exports and imports grow compared to 2016
The Albanian economy has begun to revive after the negative effects of the global crisis.
So the country’s trade exchanges this year have grown compared to the previous year.
According to foreign trade statistics for the 10-month period, Albanian exports amounted to ALL 225.3 billion, from 198.8 billion in the 10-month period of 2016.
While the share of exports is estimated to be 3.4 million tons, compared to 3.2 million tons in the same period last year.
According to these statistics, the value of imports during the 10 months of this year is estimated at ALL 511.3 billion, while during the previous year it was at the level of ALL 474.8 billion.
While imports amounted to 3.6 million tons, from 3.4 million tons in the same period of the previous year.
The difference between imports and exports in 2017 is estimated at ALL 286 billion, while in 2016 it was 276 billion ALL.
According to the same data, the largest trade exchanges occupy is held by EU countries, at 61.7%, while exchanges with non-EU countries account for 38.3% of the total.
Referring to the structure of EU countries, it turns out that Albania reports the highest level of exchanges with Italy, which occupies 46.4%, then Germany at 13.4% and third, Greece at 13.2%.
Also, as far as exports to EU countries, Italy is still in in the first place with 69.4%.
