Passengers traveling to the UK – CAA: New rules start from Friday

The Albanian Civil Aviation Authority has announced that from 04:00 on Friday, 15 January 2021, travelers traveling to the United Kingdom must have a valid negative COVID-19 test result, taken no more than three days before the scheduled departure time.
“This will be checked at departure airports and passengers without a proof certificate, or a positive test result, or an invalid certificate will be denied travel,” the statement said.
According to the CAA a valid test result must be from a PCR test or another very reliable test for the detection of COVID-19 and must show that the test was taken within three days of the start of the flight while passengers with valid negative tests you will also be required to quarantine for ten days upon arrival in the UK.
According to the announcement children under the age of 11 are exempt from the requirement and are not required to complete pre-departure testing while the test certificate will be available in English, French and Spanish and that its proof can be made through copying or digital means.
