Private pensions “beat” the pandemic! They increase by 18.5%, “Credins Pension” has the highest number of members
Despite the COVID-19 pandemic, the voluntary private pension market has continued its upward trend in 9 months, not feeling the negative effects. Referring to the data of the Financial Supervision Authority, the net assets of pension funds amounted to about ALL 3.4 billion or EUR 27.7 million, with an increase of 18.5% compared to the end of 2019.
Also, the number of members in pension funds has increased, where according to AFSA figures, it resulted in 30,718 members at the end of September 2020, or about 8.65% more compared to the end of the year we left behind.
Of the four pension funds operating in the country, Credins Pensions continues to be the largest fund by number of members. At the end of September, Credins Pension results with over 17,543 members, thus covering 57.11% of the market.
While, according to the value of market assets, although with a number of members of 8313, dominates “Sigal Pensions”, with about 44.3%, followed by Credins Pensions with approximately 30.3% of the market, in third place ranks Raiffeisen Pensions with 24.5 for percent and finally Albsig with only 0.9 percent.
